Before You Leave: Travel Readiness Checklist

Use this checklist in the days leading up to departure to ensure you are fully prepared for international, faculty-led travel to Australia.

☐ Passport valid for the duration of travel

☐ Passport photocopy (paper + digital backup)

☐ Required travel visa approved and accessible

☐ Airline tickets or confirmation saved digitally

☐ Emergency contact information saved in phone

☐ Bank and credit card companies notified of travel to Australia

☐ International transaction and ATM fees reviewed

☐ Plan for accessing funds in Australia (ATM usage)

☐ Knowledge of how to contact bank if a card is lost or frozen

☐ Small amount of backup cash plan (if needed)

☐ Checked bag weighed (50 lb / 23 kg maximum)

☐ Carry-on complies with international and domestic size limits

☐ Luggage inspected (zippers, wheels, handles secure)

☐ Power adapter included

☐ Comfortable walking shoes packed
